"Second Luxembourgish Nutrition Conference (Nulux)"
"Dietary Composition, Pattern and Health"

taking place at the Domaine Thermal in Mondorf-les-Bains (Luxembourg) on May 9, 2011

The conference will discuss, on an interdisciplinary basis, the current state of
knowledge on the relation between dietary patterns and selected dietary ingredients and health, with a focus on the prevention of diseases, especially chronic health complications such as obesity, diabetes, and cancer, but also other worldwide diseases related to diet. Contributions will include epidemiological data, dietary intervention, or results from in-vitro investigations focussing on the relation of dietary ingredients and markers of health, such as inflammatory processes, oxidative stress, nutritional status, and many more.

The purpose of the conference is to stimulate a lively discussion among various stakeholders in the area of food and health, including researchers from the medical area, nutrition and food science, but also dieticians and consumers. Current knowledge and remaining challenges in the area of food and health should be shared and highlighted. The program will consist of keynote lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions.

We hope that the Scientific Program will bring together researchers and non-researchers with an interest in food and health in the greater region, fostering a controversial discussion on this interdisciplinary topic, and will also allow you to enjoy the flair of our beautiful spa town of Mondorf and its surrounding.
